Well there goes a great bank holiday weekend, only one extra day added to the weekend but it made it seem really longer, the weekend was great full of photography and food, must be my two favourite items.
Started Friday night , nice meal with a friend in the Red Lion Bittern, only a small pub foody place, but good all the same.. Food nothing fantastic but good company.
Saturday, took some foto`s of a wedding for a friend at a church in Portsmouth called the John Pounds Church, all came out pretty well, hope they like them to, the bride looked a picture too, if she will let me i`ll put some up on the net here.. Saturdays night over to my favourite Chinese at the gunwharf in Portsmouth, the Water Margin, too much beer so had to leave the car for the following day, but hey ho.
Sunday over to another Red Lion in Horndean, food here was very good must admit, have a visit if you get chance.. I must try some of the others in the chain.
Monday went down to Portsmouth again, over the weekend there was a kite festival on, it was meant to finish on the Sunday, but lots still going on Monday, some great colours on the kite, then all wrapped up with a really really nice meal at Loch Fyne in gunwharf & a glass of house white.. So great that restaurant…
Then back to reality and cut the grass when I got home
Rowans Hospice Moonlit Memories Walk ~ Saturday 19th June 2010
Great walk last night for Rowans Hospice charity, over 2000 of us trudging round to raise money, I managed to get round in a pleasing 3 hours 5 mins, not bad for me for 12 miles, route below..
This will be the 3rd Rowans Hospice Moonlit Memories Walk and it is hoped that 2,500 people will take part in walking the course to raise much needed funds, and having fun with friends and family at the same time. In 2009 walkers raised over £340,000 for the Hospice.
Rowans Hospice depends on just under £10,000 in donations a day to provide the free care for patients with life-limiting illness resident in Portsmouth and South-East Hants, their relatives and carers.
The walk, which starts at midnight, is sponsored by Biscoes and is open to men and women over the age of 16. The route starts and finishes at Southsea common, pass along Southsea Seafront, into the Historic Dockyard and on into Old Portsmouth.
En-route the Spinnaker Tower, Southsea Seafront and HMS Victory will all be illuminated, there will also be entertainers to help guide you through the walk.

Well barring any dust cloud intervention from Iceland I`m of to India on the 22nd of may, hopefully big upload of new foto`s, I`m actually going here,
It looks a great place to be, lots of mountains walks, great place for foto`s even for me.
Manali (alt. 1,950 m or 6,398 ft), in the Beas River valley, is an important hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, India, near the northern end of the Kullu Valley.
Manali is administratively a part of the Kullu district, with population of approx. 30,000. The small town was the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and, from there, over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin.
Manali and the surrounding area is of great significance to Indian culture and heritage as it is said to be the home of the Saptarshi, or Seven Sages, It`s not a 100 miles form Ladakh were I went last year, hopefully more in the way of mountain views and flowers ect in the Kulla valley.. watch this space, doubt I will update much in India this year, but hopefully loads of snaps when I get back..Have a couple of extra batteries for the D3, thanks to my fav 7 day shop deals, loads of memory cards, 32 meg ones an a portable harddrive, life gets no better that this, oh yea and a great companion to boot..bless What`s the worst that can happen the dust kick in while I`m there and I have to stay in India, yea, down to the tigers I go, hehhe.

Like most people who use a camera I guess the Autumn / Fall colour is always a good subject and I did a decent group of photo`s showing the tree tops, which I felt came out quite well.
These were 4 of them: – They make quite good wallpapers so I thought I would pop them up here if any one wanted to use them full size just click on the pictures to download zip file..

Saw this on a photo forum I look at from time to time, and it is sooooo true…
